The Mainz Attraction II

The Mainz Attraction II

Are you ready to do the shuffle again? No, not a Van McCoy retro disco theme-night but instead a Chess960 shuffle of the major pieces on the back-rank, as favored by former world champion Bobby Fischer!

ICC is pleased to announce we're collaborating yet again with Chess Tigers, organizers of the popular annual Mainz Chess Classic in Germany, for a 2nd Chess 960 Internet Qualifier for the FiNet and Ordix opens. And we're building on the big success of last year's tourney by adding onto the human qualifier a new computer qualifier for the Livingston Chess960 Computer World Championship.

There will be four qualifiers to the finals on ICC, running June 17th-22nd. No preregistration is necessary. This event is only open to ICC members and to those who sign up for a free trial 7-day membership of the ICC - so don't delay, sign-up at www.chessclub.com today! You can play in as many qualifiers as you like, and the dates will be:

- Qualifier 1: Tuesday, June 17, 6pm EDT
- Qualifier 2: Wednesday, June 18, 3pm EDT
- Qualifier 3: Thursday, June 19, 2pm EDT
- Qualifier 4: Friday, June 20, 4pm EDT

- Finals: Sunday, June 22, 3pm EDT
